For many years, customers have requested a small but extremely high quality speaker system from Von Schweikert Audio. Well known for full range performance, our previous designs were often larger than most metropolitan customers could fit into a relatively small listening room. Undaunted by the limitations imposed by conventional speaker designs, we set about solving the problem with the Unifield -3.

Unifield Model One
Murrieta, California – March 2010. Von Schweikert Audio has announced that it has released a new "super mini-monitor" speaker system. The UniField Model One is a 7” two- way speaker using European drivers and aerospace build construction. The engineering target was to provide a new level of extreme transparency at the electrostatic level, combined with holographic imaging accomplished by a Time Aligned and Phase Coherent concentric driver array.
MAIN DRIVER:
The 7” TPX cone was developed by the British Broadcast Corporation (BBC) for use in their radio and television broadcast studios. This cone has exceptional clarity in both the deep bass area and the midrange frequency band where clarity of the vocal range is paramount. The 7” TPX woofer is loaded into a triple chamber transmission line for extremely tight bass and fast transient response.
COAXIAL TWEETER MOUNTING
In order for the bass, midrange, and treble sound waves to arrive at the ear in a synchronized and coherent pattern, we placed the tweeter in the center of the bass/midrange unit. The 1” coated fabric tweeter uses a Low Distortion Neodymium Motor with advanced engineering features to provide world-class clarity and detail, without harshness or blurring of conventional dome tweeters.
TRIPLE-WALL CABINET
To eliminate the coloration of conventional wood cabinets, we have designed a laminated wall structure consisting of a molded resin/wood powder exterior, an artificial stone inner liner, and a rubberized felt damping barrier. These three materials, 75mm thick, have opposing "Q" factors, which cancel each other’s resonant patterns, enabling the UniField Model One to sound “cabinet-less.” In fact, this Triple-Wall laminate will outperform 5” thick plywood or MDF.

VR-9SE
The VR-9SE has the same bandwidth and transparency of its larger sibling, the VR-11SE, but in a smaller and very attractive package. How is this done? The solution was simple. the VR-9SE represents exactly one half of the VR-11SE. All of the components and voicing are identical to that of the larger products just cut in half
Unifield Model Two

The UniField Model 2 is a three-way speaker in a "heroically" built cabinet with 75mm thick cabinet walls, constructed of three different materials. Our Triple-Threat cabinet construction offers the most transparent sound ever heard in a speaker system using a conventional cabinet. The three wall materials are: 20mm MDF, 5mm rubber, 20mm stone, 5mm rubber, and 20mm hard felt. The three different "Q" Factors of the three different materials eliminates any cabinet resonance, creating what will soon be considered the "Best Speaker" in its class. In addition, the internal reflections are eliminated by the use of the non-parallel curved sides.
To insure electrostatic-style clarity, our European drivers are the finest available and are licensed by the British Broadcast Corporation (BBC). Using exotic cone materials and Low Distortion Motors, this three-way design can outperform speakers twice its size!
